FAQ

Cancellation Policy

Any cancellation made with less than 14 days notice, the deposit amount of $400 will be due. Any cancellation made with less than 48 hours notice the full amount of the trip will be charged.

What if there is bad weather?

All weather calls are made at the Captain's discretion. Safety is our #1 concern. If the Captain deems the weather unsafe, you will not be responsible for any charges.

Do you cancel for rain?

No, we do not cancel for rain alone unless it is an unusual circumstance. Most are short passing showers and there is a fully-enclosed air-conditioned cabin to be able to get out
of the elements. Again, in extreme circumstances, any weather calls are at the Captain's discretion.

What if I get seasick?

We strongly recommend if anyone has any concerns with regards to seasickness to take over-the-counter Dramamine. We suggest taking one the night before your trip and one
again in the morning. This way the medicine has time to get into your system and most when taken this way, do not have any issues.

Can I make a trophy of my fish?

Yes! We have an excellent taxidermist that we work with. Please let the captain or mate know and they will help you with all the information and pricing you need.

What happens with the fish we catch?

Some species are catch and release. The L&H strictly abides by all local and Federal fishing regulations. With regards to 'eating' fish, if there are only a few fish for the day you are welcome to take whatever you would like. The crew will clean, package and prepare everything at no additional cost. If there is a 'large catch' half of the fish stays with the crew and the crew will clean package and prepare the rest for you. They are very fair with this policy as it has been in place for the past 30 years and we feel it encourages the crew to work as hard as possible for the entire duration of the trip, so they have something to show for it at the end of their day as well. If you do not choose to take any fish, the crew is very much appreciative and rest assured, nothing will go to waste as they all have large families.
